The goal of Space 42 gallery is to present, collect, and interpret the art of our time though the promotion of national and international artists. Space 42 is anchored by its large gallery, a meeting place for our community to gather and the hub of the Space’s events.
ART + TECHNOLOGY
Space 42 is a creative incubator in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida’s burgeoning Arts District. The art gallery and digital lab-home to IJHANA, are housed in a 22,000 square-foot warehouse where artists and innovators can explore their ideas and collaborate with like minded individuals to turn them into reality.
SPACE 42 COMPONENTS
The tech and design space is home to IJHANA, a global technical company. Their main goal is to create high-impact solutions to resolve complex business & technology challenges.
The Space 42 Coffee Bar located in Jacksonville, Florida is located inside a 20 ft. converted shipping container on our loading dock. Expect to find Counter Culture coffee, fresh bakes goods and fresh drinks.
Every Wednesday from 4-7pm Space hosts the Arts District Farmers Market. It was created in conjunction with local vegan restaurant and market Southern Roots as a way to strengthen our community. Expect to find local vendors, fresh produce and craft drinks.
Space 42 serves as a community center for activities and educational programs with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education a focal point. Partnered with local universities and non-profits Space 42 provides thought leadership, innovative ideas and even formalized programs to the Northeast Florida community.
The Space 42 Artists-in-Residence Program was established in early 2018. The program provides artists of all levels time, space and support to experiment and develop a new body of work in a creative space within our community.
